If Aneska does return then it will be as an adversary. We know now that it was just a template for Sooma. A lot of people, myself included, believed these rumors because there was found a semi-complete model of Aneska in the game files. Destroyer of Worlds doesn't really set anything up except for the immediate downfall of the Hades Division. It makes them perfect cannon fodder.Īs for Aneska, a lot of those rumors have been around just because people thought she was really hot. Whatever reason the clones exist we can assume that they are weaker versions of Cortez made to support the Raiders in combat and do not possess the same abilities as the original. He is then able to repair those problems with, I'm assuming, basically nothing well before the Raiders need him again. We also commonly hear about the massive radiation given off by Aleph deposits which fry his systems. Often we see Cortez dogged by gunships which he somehow eliminates without the use of any sort of weapon, at least I have not seen the Beluga ever fire any weapon. He was probably a pretty good pilot before and that is just how Aleph works it exaggerates the traits of people who use it.

Instead Aleph seems to have given Cortez exceptional piloting and mechanical skills. Though, this could change if the AI Cortez is given some ability, though I doubt he will do much more than shooting/meleeing. Aleph affects all individuals differently and whatever it has done to Cortez has not made him as powerful as those Raiders which fight. Think Han Solo.Ĭortez does not seem to possess any ability which could be useful against the enemies. He was a smuggler and a transport for Hades and Wardogs. The new Faction Cards Pack for Raiders of the Broken Planet is now available for all players. The Hades Division mercenaries, including Lycus and Mikah, also get their share of new Cards, like “Nerves of Steel” that allows them to reload faster after being hit, while the savage Umbra Wardogs can find “Kamikaze” among their Cards -increasing the damage of their first strike after performing a jump. This way, the vengeful Locals will receive Cards like “Merciless”, that increases their weapons’ damage output after a kill (something Doldren will surely enjoy!), while the cold and calculating Fifth Council characters, like Konstantin and Ginebra, can deploy Cards such as “Firewall”, reducing the damage received when they have maximum health. Now all Raiders of the Broken Planet players can customize their characters to suit any gaming style, either playing as Raiders or as Antagonists.Įach Faction Card is designed to subtly enhance the character’s performance during the game, while keeping the essence and character of the race it represents in mind.
